In order to measure progress toward the Collective's goal of having 33% of AUM managed by gender- and racially-diverse portfolio management teams by 2033, the Collective launched the Transparency Dashboard. We've partnered with ExecuShe and ExecuNicity to examine the 400 largest SEC and Nasdaq eVestment active public equity funds, with a total of $6.5 trillion in AUM, reviewing fund websites and prospectuses to determine demographic data for key portfolio decision-makers. The initial version of the Dashboard includes gender data, as this is more readily available; however, the Collective is collecting race and ethnicity data and will launch an updated version of the Dashboard with race and ethnicity data, along with data on active public equity funds totalling $10 trillion, by the end of 2024.

This Transparency Brief is the first in a series of briefs the Collective will release to measure progress toward increasing the amount of assets managed by gender-diverse and racially-diverse portfolio management teams in order to improve financial and social performance and hold the asset management industry accountable. The Brief explains the visuals in the Dashboard and highlights findings on gender-diverse teams. The race and ethnicity data will be collected and examined before the end of 2024, and an updated version of the Brief will be released alongside the second iteration of the Dashboard.
